Women In Power

When women work together, they achieve great things. They support one another and enrich each other's lives. Together, we can grow our knowledge, confidence and power. These are the principles that guided Dr. Ellen Mahony, a board-certified, female plastic surgeon in Connecticut, when she developed Women in Power. Join her and hundreds of other women, as we develop our personal and professional lives through networking and education.

Take the first step now to achieving your personal goals with the support and skills of Dr. Mahony. Request a consultation with Ellen or call her at (203) 221-0102.

Women in Power is not a club. There is no membership fee, no requirements. We're simply a group of women with a desire to improve our lives. We get plenty of questions about what we do, and we love sharing our mission and the details of our events with others, so please call us at 203-221-0102.

Events

Each event focuses on a different topic important to today's woman. These are topics we have struggled with ourselves or that other women have suggested. We bring in panelists – experts in their fields – to share their knowledge. We also leave time for networking and developing personal as well as professional connections. While informative, these events are also fun! The enthusiasm of so many wonderful, dynamic women is contagious.

Women in Power Pioneers

Women in Power, CT was founded by four women, each with a unique perspective on the challenges faced by women, and each eager to connect with other women facing the same challenges.

Ellen A. Mahony, MD, FACS

Dr. Ellen Mahony sees the connection between a woman's physical and emotional sense of self. She is passionate about helping women find synergy and power between the two. "I think we are at our best when the person we see in the mirror reflects who we are, our inner beauty," she says.

Carolina Fernandez

Carolina Fernandez is a financial advisor. That's her day job. As a true Renaissance Woman, however, her passions are much broader. She's an artist, a published author, and a wonderful mother. In addition to Rocket Mom and Country French Kitchens, she has published more than two hundred original articles, columns, stories and anthologies, which have been syndicated by more than 50,000 online sites, blogs and newsletters.

Lisa Wexler

Lisa Wexler is an attorney and the host of "The Lisa Wexler Show," a daily radio talk show. She received the 2010 Gracie Award for her interview with Gloria Steinem. She also collaborated with her mother and her sister, Jill Zarin of "The Real Housewives of New York City," to write Secrets of a Jewish Mother. She believes that the world would be much more peaceful and prosperous if all women had access to a fine education.

Margaret Wagner

As the owner of Bedroom Matters, Margaret Wagner is committed to ensuring today's busy woman doesn't compromise her sensual self. She is a sensuality and relationship expert who provides workshops on relationships and intimacy. In addition, Margaret is a marketing executive and consultant and has managed global brands for some of advertising's biggest networks. Margaret presently resides in London as a marketing consultant.
