Chin, Cheek, and Lip Enhancement

Weak, ill-defined facial features are anything but flattering. Connecticut plastic surgeon Dr. Ellen Mahony offers several options for women and men who want to enhance their facial features with greater definition and volume.

Chin Augmentation

If your chin is too small, it can throw off the entire proportion of your face, making other features appear larger, and diminishing aesthetic balance and contour. With a chin implant, Dr. Mahony can correct that imbalance by shaping the chin to conform to the nose, jaw and facial structure. A chin implant can be combined with liposuction around the neck to eliminate a double chin or reinforce a chin weakened with age, and an implant in the chin can be used to complement a full brow lift or a facelift.

Cheek Augmentation

With cheek implants, Dr. Mahony can accentuate the contours of the face and balance the cheekbones with the chin, jaw and nose. Underdeveloped cheekbones may make a face appear sunken and flat. Cheek implants or fat transfer to the cheeks adds definition to the face, and also adds that final touch when used in conjunction with other cosmetic procedures, including a face lift in Connecticut.

Lip Augmentation

Dr. Mahony offers several lip augmentation procedures at her Westport practice, including a variety of state of the art injectable filler materials (JUVÉDERM®, Restylane®, Radiesse® and collagen treatments, among others) along with dermal and fat transfers. With injectable filler materials, Dr. Mahony can add fullness to the lips and smooth out wrinkles on the border of the lips. With a dermal and fat transfer, Dr. Mahony can remove a small amount of fat or dermis from another part of the body, process the tissue, and inject it into the lips to add volume. Both procedures are safe and effective options.
