Corrective Breast Surgery
Although few women realize it, we all have asymmetric breasts. Sometimes there is just a small difference but other times the difference in size and shape is obvious. In these cases, it becomes challenging to find tops that fit right, wear fitted clothes and often, to just feel good about our body.
Fortunately, corrective breast surgery offers a means to achieve greater symmetry and proportion. Sometimes this may involve repositioning the areola, adding an implant or reducing (breast reduction) the volume of breast tissue. Making the areola smaller can also be included. This young student, 5’6”, 135 lbs could never find a bra that provided to her adequate support. She tended to hide her shape because she felt a bit insecure in close fitting clothes.
When she and her mother visited Dr. Mahony, she was relieved to hear that a solution to match her breasts was possible!
