Liposuction
This 5’7” 155 lb, 39 yo mother of two decided it was time to reclaim her body. She loved her 2 kids but was not loving the “muffin top” that came as part of the package…along with the saddle bags of her inner and outer thighs. She kept up with her running over the years but that baby fat seemed resistant to everything she tried.
A Mommy Makeover was the direction she was headed, beginning with liposuction of the tummy, hips and thighs. She read a lot about liposuction but wanted to find out if a tummy tuck was an option. She sought a consultation with Dr. Mahony because of recommendations from 2 friends. The meeting was incredibly personal and relaxing.All of her questions were answered. It made perfect sense to her that liposuction was the better choice over a tummy tuck. Her expectations for her result were reset based on the information she received at the consultation. She staged her breast surgery for a later date.
Surgery went just as she expected. She was understandably sore for a few days afterward but perfectly able to get around and manage. She followed the instructions for massage of the treated areas and it made a big difference in settling things down and smoothing everything out.
After removing 3500 cc of fat and continuing with her diet and exercise, she is now down 2 sizes and has lost 15 lbs! No more muffin top! Hello Summer!
