Liposuction for Men
This 39 year old gentleman, had been frustrated with the changes middle age brought to his body. With a hectic life of running an international business and raising a family, he really had little time for himself. A couple of years ago this gentleman’s wife had a breast augmentationwith Dr. Mahony and was impressed with her dedication and expertise as a board certified plastic surgeon. Based on his wife’s recommendation, he came in for a consultation with the intention of learning about his options to maximize the core (torso) of his body.
During their talk, Dr Mahony learned that he had already committed to working with a personal trainer and a long-term goal of competing in triathalons. Based on his current progress and dedication to building a better body, Dr. Mahony recommended that he continue to focus on weight loss and improving his nutrition.
Several months later and 70 lbs lighter, our middle aged gentleman was close to his goal. The only remaining issues were his “love handles”, back of the hips, and inner/outer thighs. He really wanted to sculpt his body, showcase all his hard work and was ready for Liposuction as the finishing touch to all of his effort. Liposuction is a great solution for isolated areas of body fat that are resistant to diet and exercise.
Using the the Tumescent Technique, which is the safest and most successful liposuction method, 1650cc of fatty tissue were removed from his abdomen and hips. From the upper back and “love handles 1550cc of fatty tissue were removed. Lastly, 400cc of fatty tissue was taken off the inner/outer thigh area; all together totaling 3700cc which is now gone from his body forever.
With in a month after his surgery, he was exercising again. He even ran his first 5K! The liposuction successfully restored his proportion, revealed his hard earned muscle tone and greatly improved the confidence in his body image. He continues to lose weight and is thrilled with results of his liposuction!
