Turkey Neck No More!
Your neck contains some of the most delicate and sensitive skin on your body. It’s also one of the first areas to show signs of aging. The skin around the neck and jawline can become slack, resulting in a “wattle” that can be difficult to remove even with proper exercise, diet, and skin care. This is why so many men and women in Connecticut choose a neck lift from the cosmetic surgery practice of Dr. Ellen Mahony.
Lift and Rejuvenate Your Neck
Dr. Mahony’s neck lift procedure tightens the skin and muscles around your neck and repositions fleshy and loose folds of skin. For many patients, a neck lift can be combined with liposuction for the neck and jaw region, threadlifts for the mid-face region, eyelid surgery, or a face lift. In fact, a neck lift is very often a part of a more comprehensive Menopause Makeover.
In addition, Dr. Mahony recommends that you prep for your necklift surgery with one of her Platelet-Rich Plasma procedures to address the deepest layers of your face and neck skin by stimulating collagen production, increasing blood flow and stimulating elastin fiber repair.
Find Out Whether a Neck Lift is Right for You
Whether you’d like to know more about a neck lift only, or in combination with other procedures, a consultation with Dr. Mahony is an excellent and prudent next step. During this one-on-one session, she’ll answer any questions you have, in plain, direct language. And she’ll explain each procedure in depth, including what to expect before, during and after surgery, risks, and pre- and post-op information.*

ASK DR. MAHONY
No, regrettably nothing is permanent! The aging process continues every minute despite the steps we may take to slow it down. I would hope that 5-8 years or greater could be expected. Factors that will influence this duration are your health, your age, your weight, the quality of your skin and steps you take to protect your neck in the future.

FAQs
Neck Lift surgery can be accomplished from a variety of incisions, depending on the extent of the procedure. As an example, a person with a heavy ‘turkey gobbler’ neck may best achieve her/his goals with an incision in front of the ear, extending to behind the ear and also an incision below the chin. Another person may only need an incision in front of the ear or even just below the chin. Dr. Mahony will make recommendations based on your individual goals and physical exam.
