As a college student, this young woman studied Victorian literature and had a keen appreciation for body proportion. After her first year at school, she committed herself to a weight loss program and her desire to make the most out of her own body proportions. All was well with the world, when she achieved her goal of losing 80 lbs. The only thing between her and her best proportions, was the loose skin disguising her shapely waist.
It was a big decision at such a young age to consider surgery. On the other hand, it was exceedingly frustrating to live inside a body that was so out of synch with her lifestyle and spirit. This led to her analysis of the pros and cons of surgery and an investigation into experts in the area. It was important to her to meet with a woman surgeon who would understand her aesthetic goals. A review of testimonials, internet reviews, credentials and a look at the photo gallery all compelled her to visit Dr. Mahony.
The consultation proved to be both educational and interesting. She felt that she had met a surgeon who understood her goals and who had an appreciation of the body proportions that could realistically be attained. The strategy of surgery was to remove all the extra belly, hip and thigh skin (abdominoplasty, lower body lift) and perform liposuction on the adjacent areas to blend and sculpt evenly. She understood that the incisions were permanent but a very acceptable trade off for the body she was seeking. Maintaining the results with a continued healthy lifestyle would be up to her.
Now 3 sizes smaller, 15 lbs lighter and feeling like the woman she was meant to be, our now college grad is enjoying life to the fullest!
