Case #2786
Breast Augmentation
Sometimes it just comes down to proportion and an interest in creating all the right curves in all the right places. Take this young 22 yo, 32A lady. She had been considering breast implants for quite some time. She has no plans to have children soon and thought this would be a good time to do it. Plus, she is a school teacher and had the summer free.
Although she comes from out of state, it was important to her to find an experienced woman surgeon to whom she could relate. And she quickly learned that there are very few women board certified plastic surgeons. She found Dr. Mahony on an internet search and decided this would likely be a perfect fit for her. Her trip to CT for the consultation was everything she had hoped for. One of the issues she sought clarification on was the difference between saline and gel breast implants. After a detailed discussion on the topic she felt very comfortable selecting saline implants. Price is a factor in implant selection and these implants worked into her budget.
Her outpatient surgery went beautifully. She had inframammary fold incisions and the implants were placed below the muscle. She selected 300cc saline implants. Because there was such minimal disruption of her breast tissue, her recovery was smooth as silk. Her surgery was only a month or so ago- and she’s back to all of her activities and enjoying them so much more as a 34D!
