Face/Neck Lift
This 65 year old woman had a lot of changes in her face and body after having a gastric sleeve 9 months prior to meeting Dr. Mahony. Losing about 100 pounds caused her mid face to look hollow while loose skin hung from her jaw creating jowls. Her neck was also a concern to her as she had developed bands of skin that collected in the midline.
After all of her hard work to regain her health and wellness, she was at a point when she wanted to look as well as she felt. She and her husband visited plastic surgeons to learn about their opinions and to determine where she would feel most comfortable. Their visit with Dr. Mahony assured them they had landed in the right place and that she would not be a “number”, she would be a friend. After much discussion, as a team, they arrived at a combination 2 layer face lift and lateral neck lift.
The surgery went well and she had the expected swelling and bruising afterward, which resolved in a reasonable amount of time. Now when she looks in the mirror, she sees the familiar, youthful self she remembers!
