After being overweight for most of my life growing up, as a young adult I made a conscious effort to change my lifestyle in order to better my health. I lost 120lbs over an eighteen month span and maintained the weight loss by eating healthy and working out regularly. With all the hard work I had put in, I still wasn't satisfied with my body. I had excess skin from the weight loss in my abdomen that wouldn't go away with months of focused workouts. I started to fixate on the sagging skin and began to structure my days revolving around workouts, weigh-ins, and food consumption thinking I would somehow be able to fix this on my own. At a size 6, I was paranoid in bathing suits, at the thought of my shirt raising too far above my pants- I was a 22 year old even more insecure about her body than when she was over 100lbs heavier. It got to a point where this obsession was hurting my mental health, so my parents suggested we find out if I was a candidate for abdominoplasty. I was and so after researching online, I found Dr. Mahony and as soon as she sat down in the room at my consultation, I knew I would be choosing her as my surgeon. It's been a month and a half since my surgery and I couldn't be happier! My stomach is flat and my clothes fit the way that they should. I'm not afraid to show my stomach and I've worn a bikini for the first time since I was little girl. Dr. Mahony did an incredible job changing the physical aesthetic of my body and with that, more importantly, she transformed the way that I look at and feel about myself. I couldn't be more appreciative for all the time and care pre and post surgery that she has put in. Thank you, Dr. Mahony!

From the moment I met Dr. Mahony I knew she was the right surgeon for me. She listened to my concerns and was very patient and went through a step by step process with me. I am two weeks post opp and I could not be happier with my results. She did a beyond fantastic job, and something that I hated about myself for so long I now love. To say that she did a great job would be an understatement. I highly recommend her to anyone, and her office staff is also absolutely fantastic.
