Eyelid Surgery
At 54 years old, 5’1, 115 lb woman had been using injectables to maintain her youthful look. While visiting her home state of California, she kept re-uniting with friends who all had undergone complete facelifts. Until then, she had never considered anything surgical but seeing how great her friends looked, she felt she should explore what surgery might do for her. Her friends insisted she get multiple consultations with different doctors before making a decision but she went right to Dr. Mahony for a consult when she returned home; Dr. Mahony was the only doctor she needed to see.
Although she originally was headed down the facelift path, encouraged by friends to do so, Dr. Mahony stepped back and asked this patient to try to focus on the main thing that bothered her. As it turned out, the real priority for her was her dropping eyelids and puffy under eyes.
Her main concern was the recovery time- she is an avid athlete and international traveler. During the consultation, Dr. Mahony made her feel very at ease and took the time to explain the possible outcomes of surgery and laid out the post operation instructions to insure the utmost safety and success. She really appreciated Dr. Mahony’s patience and compassion for all of her concerns.
All her worries disappeared right after the surgery. She found her recovery virtually painless and was back to the gym in 2 weeks! Soon after she was healed she re-visited California. Everyone that saw her noticed the difference but couldn’t put a finger on what she had done! In fact, some of her friends thought she looked so great that she must have had a facelift! Just goes to show you- sometimes less is more, and thank goodness for the surgeon who is honest enough to distinguish the difference.
Her uplifted eyes have really enhanced her entire look. She feels refreshed and even notices a considerable distinction when putting on eye shadow. Instead of using makeup to hide behind, she now uses it to enhance her face. When the time comes for another procedure there is no doubt in her mind Dr. Mahony will be surgeon.
